Trisha, the darling of Tamil and Telugu cinema, has won the Best Actress award for her performance in the Telugu flick Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule, starring Venkatesh, one of the blockbusters of 2007.
The award was given to her by a leading Telugu TV channel. Directed by Selvaraghavan, AMAV received a lot of critical as well as audience acclaim.
